However, they also love local games such as Andar Bahar, Passa, Teen Patti, and Kabaddi. In this article, we will be going through the top unique Indian games.
Andar Bahar
Said to have originated in Southern India, Andar Bahar is a simple card game. Its popularity has spread all over India and now also at online casinos. Traditionally, the Andar Bahar game needs a deck of 52 cards with no suits and numbers. However, the modern version of this game requires a deck of 78 cards divided into diamonds, spades, clubs, and hearts.
Andar Bahar is well-known for its simplicity and well-loved as a game between family and friends. Ezugi, a branch of Evolution Gaming, published Andar Bahar as a mobile version in 2019 and its popularity took off from there.
This game is one of the easiest table games to engage with. You may play against the dealer and the table is divided into three sides – Andar, Bahar, and the dealer. The dealer kicks off the round by pulling the first card called the joker from the deck and deals. Next, the player bets on whether the joker will be from Andar or Bahar. The dealer will continue to draw cards from both sides.
Teen Patti
Teen Patti is a popular Indian gambling card game which is similar to poker. It is normally played in a group of 3 or 6 persons with a 53-card pack with no jokers. Each player is dealt three cards face down. However, before the cards are dealt, the boot amount is decided upon and collected from each player. As the game advances, the pot money grows, and this is won by the winner of that hand. The winner is the player who remains in the game till the completion of the hand and has the best hand or the highest.
Passa
Passa is an Indian betting game which is free to play and cannot be played for real money. It has been played for centuries and it is based on using two four-sided dice. The dice will have the numbers one, three, four, and six written on them. The dice are thrown until they land on a double. When this is achieved, the game ends. If the double is a four or a six, then it is called Jeetae while is the double is a one or three, it is called Hare. Before the game begins, the player will decide on which to bet on; the Jeetae or Hare.
Kabaddi
Matches in the Pro Kabaddi League is a popular sport bet upon by many Indian gamblers, but the game is widely played throughout in India. The overall aim of the game kabaddi is to score more points than the opposing time within the allocated time slot. Each team must attempt to score points by attacking and defending against the other team. In the process of attacking, the offensive team sends across a raider into the opposition’s half who must touch one of the members of the opposing team to score a point. When defending, the objective is to capture a raider by wrestling them to the ground or by preventing their own fall.
