Suggestions for your 2021 Bridge Library

By Alex J. Coyne © Great Bridge Links

If you play or view the game of bridge,  the odds are more than likely that you’re also an enthusiastic reader of resources on the same topic.

It’s the end of an interesting (and simultaneously tragic) year, and the start of the next. If you’re reading this, you’re still here, and so is the game.

Now is an appropriate time for bridge readers to stock their shelves and e-readers with upcoming bridge stuff so here’s what to look forward to in the early parts of 2021.

Visit EbooksBridge

Speaking of E-readers, visit EbooksBridge, recently purchased by 52 Entertainment, for a look at their showcase as well as a good analysis of E-book devices. While you’re there, check out their Free Download of Bumblepuppy Bridge – we have an article on this cool product coming soon.

Polish Club 2020

Krzysztof Jassem

Polish Club is a convention that many bridge players are still getting to know, or have never seen before. Here’s a book that aims to explain its use during bidding – and the intricacies surrounding its use. Would you spot the Polish Club convention if you saw it somewhere? If your answer is no, start here.  Purchase of Expert or Standard on Amazon click here.

Playing to Trick One

James Sternberg

The tagline of this book might be more explanatory than its title: “There are no Mulligans in bridge.” If you’ve never been golfing, a Mulligan is an extra (and uncounted) stroke. A do-over. What this book says is pretty important. Here’s how to play, and not screw up. I’m sure it is advice that every player could use in their library.  Purchase on Amazon click here

Here’s a look at some of her best bridge tips from a real bridge insider. We’ll be calling this one a classic in a few decades.
