The Shot (2015)

In a small town located in Siberia live four guys who dream of getting into the national biathlon team. The guys are noticed by the famous skier Vasily Fateev. He notices the aspiration and efforts of the guys in independent training, but the guys lack a mentor who would suggest mistakes or deficiencies. That’s why Fateev decides to take responsibility and train the guys. The guys give 100%, fulfilling every requirement of the mentor.
Vasily Fateyev negotiates in Moscow with his friend Petr Krivtsov about further training of the boys in the capital so that they could be taken to the national biathlon team.

The young athletes excellently show themselves at the qualifying rounds. Head coach Berezhnoi notices:

  • Maxim Belousov is in question, the guy is trying, but is far from his friends;
  • Boris Shats is weak as a biathlete;
  • Sergey Mikheev is an excellent shooter;
  • Pavel Krutov is a future champion.

There is a conflict between Fateyev and Berezhny. Vasily argues that the team should be saved. Berezhnoi does not agree with this, why waste strength on the weak, so Shats and Belousov should be removed from the team.

After this conversation strange events happen to the team. Maxim is shot by Mikheev. Fateev is accused of illegal embezzlement. To all that is happening add problems of a personal nature. Will the guys be able to save the team and realise the dream?

Teammates (2021)

Peter Nikolayevich, master of sports, a member of the Olympic team of the country on biathlon returns to his native village where he gets a job in the local school as a teacher of physical education. On the day of his arrival he witnesses a murder.

Local authority Vitya Ludoed takes away Alexander’s jacket. As a result, the latter calls the bandit a goat. Victor in a fit of anger kills Alexander. All the witnesses to the incident, including the district police officer, remain silent. Victor’s weak-minded brother is made guilty.

Alexander is left with a son Ilya and a wife. Pyotr realizes that it will not be possible to prove Victor’s guilt. Ilya tries to avenge his father, but Pert stops him, realizing that nothing good will come of this idea. He bails the boy out. He starts teaching Ilya to shoot a rifle, promising to make him a biathlon champion. But the boy’s other motives are to learn to hit the target accurately.
